Keep your cast iron looking and cooking like new with Campfires and Cast Iron’s Seasoning and Maintenance Wax! Our proprietary formula is a perfectly balanced blend of organic, non-GMO, high-smoke point oils and local NC beeswax designed to protect your cast iron cookware, build an optimal seasoning layer, and maintain cookware between uses.

Each small batch is hand-made in the USA. Instructions for use are on the back of each tin. A little bit of wax goes a LONG way! Our solid wax is easy to apply and less wasteful than using liquid oil for cast iron seasoning.

  • 2-oz. Black Tin – Organic Grapeseed Oil, Canola Oil, and Beeswax.
    • Produces a dark bronze to black tone.
  • 2-oz. Gold Tin – Organic Grapeseed Oil, Sunflower Oil, and Beeswax.
    • Produces a darker, more matte tone.

How To Use:

  • For Seasoning Cast Iron and Carbon Steel:
    1. Clean and dry cookware.
    2. Heat cookware on a stovetop burner until warm but safe to handle.
    3. Apply a very thin layer of wax to the entire pan with a cloth. Use as little as possible – less is more!
    4. Buff excess wax off with a cloth. Remove as much as possible to prevent splotches and streaks.
    5. Heat cookware upside down in the oven at 450 degrees F for one hour. Perform up to 4 rounds of seasoning for best results.
  • For Maintenance Between Uses:
    1. Clean and dry cookware.
    2. Apply a thin layer of wax to warm cooking surfaces with a cloth or paper towel.
    3. Wipe off excess wax.
    4. Your pan is protected and ready for use.
